Gaming, media, entertainment and sports law
Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen has many years of experience as advisor to foreign providers of online gaming and has worked actively for and with a liberalisation of the Danish gaming market, e.g. through drafting of a country report for Denmark concerning the gaming market and as co-initiator of the foundation of the Danish Gaming Association.
Prior to the new gaming act coming into force on 1 January 2012, Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen advises Danish as well as foreign gaming operators on the necessary preparations, including especially the application process to achieve a gaming license and planning of the most favourable tax and company law structure, especially for foreign companies that wish to set up a business in Denmark. Furthermore, Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen advises on the consumer and marketing laws which the clients are subject to as providers of gaming in Denmark.
Moreover, Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen has many years of experience as advisor within the fields of media, entertainment and sports law, and our client portfolio encompasses artists, entertainers, writers, professional athletes, professional clubs and sponsors, among others. On an on-going basis, we advise clients on contractual matters, dispute resolutions, employment matters, intellectual rights, including image rights and association law matters, just as we assist our clients in negotiation of contracts. As the business segment is constantly developing economically, politically and commercially, Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen is also active in a number of trade organisations and associations within the legal area.
